The ASCO 8215G23 is a lightweight aluminum body 2-way solenoid valve designed for low-pressure air and fuel gas control applications.  This normally open valve remains open when de-energized and closes when energized, making it suitable for venting and controlled shutoff functions where normally open operation is required.

This model features a 1/2" NPT connection, 3/4" orifice, Cv 4 flow factor, and 206,250 BTU/hr gas capacity.  It supports 0-125 PSI operating pressure differential for air-fuel gas service and has a maximum AC fluid temperature rating of 125°F.  Construction includes an aluminum body, NBR seals/diaphragm/disc, 305 stainless steel core tube, PTFE rider rings, stainless steel internal components, and copper shading coil.

For proper installation, the valve should be mounted with the solenoid vertical and upright. Piping should follow the markings on the valve body, and a suitable strainer or filter should be installed on the inlet side to help protect the solenoid valve.
