The Duralast F123 is an air filter with a 2" x 24" x 24" size made up of durable natural hog hair fibers.  The filter is constructed to be extra rigid and provides self-sealing edges to allow full-size usage.  UL-Passed.

The filter is suitable for compatible humidification and evaporative-cooling applications.  Its depth-loading construction captures contaminants throughout the filter media, providing increased dust-holding capacity and helping extend the filter’s service life.

The F123 features an antimicrobial treatment designed to inhibit the growth of mold and mildew.  It is also washable, vacuumable, and reusable, allowing the filter to be cleaned and returned to service when properly maintained.

Do you have questions about this product?

Q:
I have sinus problems, do the treatment for flame retardant and the other feature cause any off-venting of chemicals? How many times can the filters be washed and how often? How much for a half-dozen and how much would shipment be to 95431? Thanks.

A:
There are no features of this filter media that will cause off-venting of chemicals. It is manufactured using a water/latex based binder, which everything is mixed into. There are no caustic, corrosive, or VOC’s added to this product
The media can be washed several times with general use and application. Since we have no way of knowing the application, frequency of washing, and method of washing, I cannot give you a life span of the filter media. The recommended method of the manufacturer is washing it with a water hose and soap water from a spray bottle monthly. Using this method the filter has approximately a 6-month life span. Use of pressure washers or other power equipment will significantly reduce the life of the filter.
