The Fenwal 01-018002-021 is a corrosion-resistant thermoswitch temperature controller that has a hexagonal mounting section with 1/2” MNPT. The unit temperature ranges from -100 to +600º F (-73 to +316º C). It opens on temperature rise and the temperature setpoint can be easily changed by turning the adjusting sleeve.
A thermoswitch function is used to regulate or maintain a predetermined temperature. When temperature changes it causes the metal shell to expand or contract. This results in the activation or deactivation of the controller to maintain the temperature.
This coupling head type thermoswitch does have a 316 stainless steel shell & head and 8” lead wires. Mounts directly to electrical conduits or explosion-proof fittings, which makes it ideal for laboratory and experimental test work, food processing, bleaching, and dyeing applications.
