The 1701-3 is a bleed-type air/liquid bypass valve that consists of a 3/8" dryer side tube connection and a 3/8" NPT service side connection. The unit has a maximum operating pressure of up to 200 psig and a maximum operating temperature of 120°F (49°C).
The bypass valve is suitable for refrigerated air dryer applications. It is also ideal for gases and liquids compatible with nylon Buna N and brass. The unit is used to perform repairs within system components without shutting off and keep the system running.
The 1701-3 features a compact construction to minimize space and costly installations with all parts enclosed in one integral unit. Quick and easy to mount with metal and plastic design to make fitting fully rotatable to prevent leakage

The OEM datasheet for the Hankison 1701-3 shows the dryer-side connection is 3/8" tube and that the compression fittings use a reusable rubber ferrule (rubber “seal”).
The datasheet does not provide a separate replacement part number for that rubber ferrule/seal, so the correct replacement is typically confirmed through a service parts list or by contacting Hankison/SPX with the full model and connection details.
As a good next step, a local licensed technician familiar with your specific application can help verify the correct seal/fitting and ensure the repair is done safely and leak-free.
