The TX-5 is a thermal expansion tank that has a 2-Gallon (7.5 liters) total volume and 0.86-Gallon (3.3 liters) maximum accepted volume. The tank measures 8" (203 mm) in diameter and 15-5/8' (321 mm) in height with a 3/4" male NPT connection size.

The thermal expansion tank is suitable for potable hot water systems with a 150 psi (1034 kPa) maximum pressure. The unit's function is to regulate excessive pressure with a heavy butyl rubber that provides excellent water isolation from the air.

The TX-5 is easy to install with a brass material connection construction that protects the water heater from damaging pressure cycling.
