The Honeywell V48A2185 is a solenoid-operated diaphragm gas valve made of die-cast aluminum.  A normally closed valve that has 1-1/2" NPT connection, 1/8"-27 NPT pilot tapping, and 1/8"-27 NPT bleed tapping.  Its valve size can accept a 2400 Cfh gas flow capacity.  Operates at 120VAC, 32-125°F operating temperature range, and a maximum pressure of 1/2 PSI or 1 PSI. 

The V48A2185 straight-through valve is a slow opening and fast closing type of diaphragm valve.  Opening time is 5-seconds and closes in 2-seconds.  For longer opening time, a Honeywell 126590 Adjustable Bleed Valve Assembly is necessary to connect 1/4" tubing.  Available also are the bleed orifices 122160 (0.011" diameter) and 124674 (0.018" diameter).

Easy to connect on burners by linking external wires to the internal 6" black lead wires from the coil.  In case of a defective coil, the Honeywell 116931 can be used as a replacement.

The V48A Series is suitable for atmospheric boilers, commercial water heaters, and rooftop heaters' gas flow regulation.  Applicable gases are LP, natural gas, manufactured, and sulfur-bearing gases.  UL Listed and CSA-approved valve.
