The Johnson Controls P70AA-5 is a low-pressure control with an SPST switch designed for low-side pressure regulation in commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.  It operates within a pressure range of 20 inches Hg vacuum to 100 psi (−68 to 690 kPa) and offers an adjustable differential between 6 psi and 50 psi (41 to 345 kPa).  The control features an open-low switch action, activating when pressure decreases to a set point, and includes a 1/4" stainless steel female NPT pressure connection.  It can withstand a maximum overpressure of 325 psi (2,241 kPa) and is compatible with ammonia refrigerants.

Constructed with an all-steel case and cover, the P70AA-5 ensures long-lasting, rugged protection for internal components.  The "Sight-Set" calibrated pressure adjustment displays a visible pressure scale, fully adjustable through the range without removing the cover.  The control is housed in a NEMA 1 enclosure and is UL-listed and CSA-certified, ensuring compliance with industry safety standards.

The P70AA-5 is designed for automatic reset operation and is suitable for use with ammonia, as well as air, water, and other non-corrosive fluid applications.  It is rated for use with copper conductors only and has motor ratings of 120V AC and 208/240V AC for single-phase applications.  The control is ideal for low-side pressure control in commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, providing reliable and accurate pressure regulation.
