The SP20832A is a gas controller thermostat for Rheem Water Heater using natural gas. It controls the temperature and gas flow from the main line. The outlet operating pressure is 4.0” W.C. outlet pressure and has a maximum inlet pressure of 1/2 psi. CSA-approved unit.
The unit features a black knob that is used to light the pilot and for temperature adjustment from low, hot, and very hot. The water heater's operating status can be easily monitored by checking the LED light status indicator. A color blue light implies normal operation and red light for a system problem.

No, I would not recommend this product to a friend or co-worker
Rheem tech support accidentally gave me the wrong part number; I needed the SP20833A for my propane water heater. I am still trying to get this one shipped back for a refund; I was not contacted as promised after filling out the report form. Filled it out again today; we'll see what happens.
