Trane KIT16682 is a genuine OEM counterclockwise economizer motor and module kit that drives the outdoor air damper and power exhaust sequence on select Trane and American Standard rooftop units. The foot-mounted spring return actuator operates on 24 VAC, 50/60 Hz with 2 - 10 VDC control, delivers about 25 lb-in torque over a 90° stroke in approximately 90 seconds, and uses a NEMA 1, plenum-rated housing for secure mounting in the mixed-air section.
This motor and logic module modulate outdoor and return air based on unit controls to provide free cooling, maintain minimum ventilation, and support power exhaust operation, helping reduce compressor run time and improve indoor air quality. Compatible with selected Trane and American Standard gas/electric rooftop units fired by natural gas or propane (independent of fuel type), KIT16682 is ideal when the original actuator or module has failed or drifted out of calibration.
Trane KIT16682 directly replaces Trane MOD1180 economizer motor and module.
