The Trane MOT18968 is a single-phase blower direct drive permanent split capacitor motor designed for HVAC applications that require dependable multi-speed performance.  It operates on 200 - 230 VAC and produces 1/4 HP power.  The motor delivers operating speeds up to 1080 RPM, making it suitable for air handlers and ventilation equipment where controlled airflow is essential.  The unit is UL-recognized.

The motor features an Open Air Over (OAO) enclosure with a 48Y-frame, allowing effective cooling when installed within the air stream.  It supports two speeds and offers reversible rotation (Clockwise / Counterclockwise lead-end), providing flexibility for various system configurations.  Built-in thermal protection helps protect the motor from overheating and extends service life during continuous operation.

This motor supports belly band or vertical mounting.  The MOT18968, along with the KIT1052 belly band kit, directly replaces part numbers MOT4403 and K55HXAFH-4134.
