Trane SWT1649 Reverse Air Flow Switch is a genuine OEM temperature activated safety switch designed to protect Trane gas heating equipment from unsafe airflow and over-temperature conditions.  This reverse air flow temperature switch opens at 105°F and recloses at 95°F, helping verify that combustion and circulation air are moving correctly before and during burner operation.  It is ideal for maintaining safe, reliable performance in residential and commercial gas furnaces, rooftop units, and air handlers where precise air temperature monitoring is required.
 
 
The SWT1649 switch helps protect the heat exchanger, blower compartment, and connected ductwork by responding quickly to blocked filters, failed blowers, or restricted airflow.  It is suitable for natural gas and propane (LP) systems within the published temperature and electrical ratings of the control.  Factory calibrated to open at 105°F to interrupt the control circuit, then automatically close again at 95°F once conditions return to normal.
