The CO verification test kit is used to test that the G series CO sensor is functioning correctly. The kit includes a bottle of 100 ppm CO gas and tubing to connect this to the G series sensor. During testing, the actual concentration of CO flowing into the sensor is diluted by mixing with air.

Preparation

Power the sensor for 96 hours prior to verification. Check that the green LED is steadily lit before proceeding. If not, contact technical support.

Verification

1. Connect regulator valve to CO bottle.
2. Fill humidifier reservoir half full with water.
3. Screw brass barb onto inlet hole at the bottom right of the sensor. To protect the sensing element, do not screw brass barb flush to the sensor housing.
4. Attach 2 ft. tubing between CO bottle and humidifier.
5. Attach 6 ft. tubing between humidifier and brass barb.
6. Slowly open regulator valve.
7. Allow CO gas to flow for 7 minutes. If the sensor is functioning, the red LED will turn on after approximately 3 minutes and remain steadily lit (not flashing).
8. Close regulator valve. Disconnect tubing from brass barb and disassemble the verification test kit.
