The Auburn FRS-2-6 flame rod is a flame-sensing electrode constructed from durable Kanthal material. It is designed with a 1/2" NPT connection size and measures 6" in length. The flame is also UL-recognized.
Flame rods are used in burner control systems to confirm the presence of a flame during operation. When the burner ignites, the rod detects the flame through the flame rectification process and sends a signal to the ignition control module, ensuring the system continues operating only when a proper flame is present. This safety function helps prevent unburned fuel accumulation and ensures safe burner operation.
The FRS-2-6 is identical to part number FRS-2-6.
